Character Is What Makes Motorcycles Great

Whether or not a motorcycle is ‘good’ is completely subjective. But in my mind, the only great motorcycles are those with character. The Royal Enfield Himalayan has character. Most Harley-Davidsons have character. Many Triumph motorcycles, like my Scrambler 900, have a character about them that makes the brand my brand of choice. As motorcycle manufacturers cut corners, work to comply with new regulations and cheap out on the things that make our bikes special, I fear the age of characterful motorcycles could come to an end in the not-too-distant future.
