A Day Spent Dodging Storms, and a Bunny – Himalayan 450 Across America, Day 5
/ 13:43
Day five: Chadron, Nebraska to Sioux City, Iowa — about 375 miles, almost all of it straight across Nebraska, with a line of severe storms supposedly waiting for me at the far end. Large hail, wind, maybe a tornado for fun. So the plan was simple: stay ahead of it, or bail somewhere along the way. What actually happened was a full day of checking radar, a fuel report, the world's most vile gas-station cheeseburger, and a level of drama best described as: I almost hit a bunny.
