Motorcycles That Do the Least Make Me Feel the Most Alive

Almost every feature tacked on to a motorcycle is intended to making riding easier, safer and more comfortable, like on my Moto Guzzi V85TT Travel. At the same time, each one of these things comes between the rider and the ride, and a stripped down bike, like my BMW R nineT, just has a way of making you feel alive and connected to the road. I believe there's room for both – bikes made up of the bare essentials that feel raw and make your heart race – and bikes that have all the features that make long-distance riding much more of a pleasure.
